Dryanovo is a small and colorful town located in the heart of Bulgaria. The incredible nature and atmosphere make it a favorite destination for many people in recent years. The name of Dryanovo is connected with Dryanovo Monastery and the Bacho Kiro Cave, with abundant fortresses from different ages, the most famous of which is the fortress Discoduratera, founded in the time of Emperor Mark Aurelius.
Dryanovo is a town of which one can name many symbols, but for me personally a symbol of the town and the region is Master Kolyu Ficheto – the greatest and unsurpassed Bulgarian architect and builder of the 19th century. Some of his unique buildings can be seen during your visit in Dryanovo – St. Nicholas Temple, The Ikonomov’s House, Kolyu Ficheto Bridge and others.
Only about 4 km away is Dryanovo Monastery and the Orthodox Church of St. Nicholas, built by master Kolyu Ficheto. Here is the Bacho Kiro Cave, the Dryanovo Eco-trail and other local attractions. In the evening you can enjoy the delicious dishes of the architectural monument “Andaka” restaurant .
